A bot that makes connections too quickly can trigger a temporary account suspension for the candidate. The risk of suspension of the Rdvpermis account exists if the system detects abnormal activity. Field reports vary on this point: some users report months of use without incident, while others report blocks after just a few days.
Administrative prerequisites before any automatic booking on Candilib or Rdvpermis
Before even configuring a bot, the candidate must have a complete file on the government platform. Without this, no booking is possible, automatic or otherwise.
- A NEPH number (Harmonized Prefectural Registration Number), obtained through the driving license application on the ANTS website.
- Passing the general theoretical test (road code), whose result must be validated in the system.
- An active account on Candilib or Rdvpermis, with the status “free candidate” correctly recorded.
- A valid and accessible email address, as booking confirmations and convocations are sent through this channel.
The request for a NEPH via ANTS can sometimes take several weeks. Starting the ANTS process at least a month before wanting to book prevents ending up with a configured bot but an incomplete file.
Should you pay for a driving test booking bot?
Candibot and other similar services offer paid plans. The business model generally relies on a monthly subscription or a one-time payment linked to the actual booking of a slot.
The question of cost arises in relation to the alternative. A free candidate who cannot find a test slot for several months incurs indirect costs: additional driving hours to maintain their level, stress, postponement of professional projects related to the license. However, there is no guarantee of results accompanying these services. The bot increases the chances of capturing a slot; it does not create them.
The free nature of the Candilib/Rdvpermis platform itself does not change the underlying problem: the scarcity of test slots in certain departments, particularly in Île-de-France and major metropolitan areas. The number of available inspectors and the volume of registered candidates determine the supply of slots, not the tool used to book them.
Concrete strategy to maximize chances on Rdvpermis
Automating the booking is not enough if the configuration is poorly thought out. Expanding the geographical area to several test centers in the same department, or even in a neighboring department, multiplies opportunities. The transition from Candilib to Rdvpermis has reshuffled the cards for free candidates.
